UPON ADMISSION
DO NOT BRING:
- Any medications without Program Director’s prior approval
- After-shave, cologne, mouthwash, hairspray or any other aerosol sprays
- Tobacco products for "Roll your owns" or pipe smoking. Regularly packaged cigarettes and smokeless tobacco are okay.
- T.V., radio, tape decks, pagers, cellphones, headphones, cameras, tapes, videos, DVD's, CD's, etc.
- Books or magazines except Bible and AA/NA books
- Any drinks or drink mixes
- Sleeveless, tank-top, muscle shirts, or any other printed shirts with alcohol/drug, rock-n-roll,
or any other design that is not in the spirit of Christianity and recovery.
- Clothing with holes, tears, frayed edges
- Short shorts (all shorts must be fingertip length when standing)
- Sandals
- Any valuables such as expensive jewelry, watches, rings, necklaces, etc.
- Any knives
- Guitars or any other musical instruments
BRING
- Proof of your current TB test (last 90 days)
- Doctor’s statement, "no symptoms of a contagious disease."
- Medical clearance by Detox facility
- Picture ID
- A 7 weeks supply of approved and current prescriptions. and a weekly container for meds
- Your personal Bible, 4th Edition AA Big Book, and The AA 12 Steps & 12 Traditions book. To purchase, please click here.
- At least 1 Pocket folder
- Full size spiral notebooks (3)
- Pens, pencils, highlighter
- Two $10 rolls of quarters for laundry machines and payphones. Make prior arrangements for someone to send a
weekly money order ($40 maximum per week) to client for pocket money.
- Stamps and envelopes
- Coat hangers
- Seasonally appropriate attire such as jeans, khaki pants, shorts. Shirts must have some type of sleeve (T-shirts ok). Nothing dressy required. At least one collared shirt and one pair of long pants for church.
- Wash cloths, towels, shower shoes
- Bed linens and blankets for twin size bed
- Pillow and pillow cases
- Laundry bag
- Some type of book bag
- Reading glasses if needed
- Tooth paste and brush, deodorant, shaving needs, 2 bars of soap, soap dish, shampoo, laundry detergent
- Non-breakable beverage glass, non-breakable coffee cup
- Have neat haircut upon arrival. (six weeks until you see a barber)
OPTIONAL: Softball glove, fishing pole, extra cigarettes, work gloves
NOTE: Clients may not have any vehicles here.
